If boyfriend wants to go to lunch with first love/old best friend/ex girlfriend and she is married with a child now, why do i feel angry? and why did it take nearly a bottle of gin for him to ask me if i was ok with it? and is it really ever ok to say no? i don’t want to be in a relationship where i dictate what someone does or who they see. and they’ll probably just end up doing it behind your back or completely resenting you for it.

if it really is no big deal, why the awkwardness? the liquid courage? why not just tell me what’s going on instead of acting like i have a part in your scheming quasi moral game plan?
